Faced with a neighboring city ready to pump polluted stormwater into the ground very close to its drinking water wells, the District turned to Gail 12s and her team for outreach and PR help. The 12s’ strategy day-lighted the issue with a multi-media campaign of carefully timed print and TV news stories, local ads, social media, direct mail and a micro–website, mobilizing the public to write hundreds of emails in opposition. This result: The campaign stopped the Department of Ecology from issuing the permit and the City from executing its stormwater plans. The 12s team has since completed a District brand strategy and is currently working on the new website and a 2016 branded rollout of outreach communications. |
